Taber Public Library has an opening for two (2) Summer Reading Program Coordinators.
Must be 16 or older and have a valid driver’s licence.

Taber Public Library will be hiring two summer coordinators for approximately eight (8) weeks, starting Tuesday, June 19th and ending Saturday, August 11th (2 weeks prep time and 6 weeks actual program time).  Coordinators will work thirty (30) hours a week, Tuesdays to Saturdays. Rate of pay is $11.00 per hour.  The theme this year is Imagine!
 
Duties would include:

*    Generating a calendar of events over duration of the program
*    Lobbying summer program to local businesses for their support
*    Developing and implementing various events over the course of the program i.e.
    games, readings, guest visits, crafts, etc.
*    Arranging for volunteers to help out where needed
*    Maintaining program statistics
*    Working within a budget

Skills needed:

*    Imagination, creativity
*    Good communication skills
*    Ability to interact with all age levels
*    Good organizational skills
*    Able to work with little supervision and/or in a team setting
*    Good leadership skills
